Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus with 18:9 display launched at $120

Finally after a long wait, Xiaomi has launched their 2 new Redmi devices named Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus in China. The Redmi 5 and 5 plus have followed the great trend of 2017 of 18:9 displays. Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus comes with rounded corners and thin bezels on the top and the bottom of the screen. On the backside they have placed a finprint sensor and a single 12 Megapixel camera with L.E.D flash and on the front there is a 5 Megapixel camera with softlight for better photos.

The Redmi 5 comes with Snapdragon 450 processor whereas the Redmi 5 plus comes with a Snapdragon 625 procesor. Redmi 5 has a 5.7inch HD 18:9 display and a 3300mAH battery whereas Redmi 5 Plus has a 5.99inch full HD+ 18:9 display and a 4000 mAH battery.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 is priced at CNY 799 (around $120 or 7800inr) for 2GB RAM and 16 GB storage and CNY 899 (around $135 or 8800inr) for 3GB RAM and 32 GB storage. Whereas The Redmi 5 Plus is priced at CNY 999 (around $150 or 9800inr) for 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant, and CNY 1,299 (around $ 196 or 12,700inr) for 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. Both smartphone will be awailable from 12th December in China and Registration will be open soon.
